Date:

By Etienne Bordes

Every year the top U18 American athletes qualify for the Scando Cup Trip based on their performance at U.S. Nationals. Coach Etienne Bordes (Tahoe Endurance) is with this year’s team in Gjøvik and shares these updates.

This trip receives substantial financial support from the National Nordic Foundation. You can find out more about NNF here, and can donate to support future athletes on future trips here.

Here’s Etienne with an update from the final day of racing, which saw 7.5-kilometer mass start skate races for junior men and women in two age classes. You can find full results from Sunday’s racing here.

Day seven (Sunday)

The U18 Scando Cup team goes out with a bang! Two podiums and several top 10s in the mass start! It was an awesome trip and wouldn’t have been possible without all the fish and potatoes to fuel the team.
